We’re thrilled to announce Pinks Summer Gymnastics & Cheer Competition. Mark your calendars for Sunday 6th July 2025 because it’s going to be an action-packed Sunday for our members. Whether your child is a seasoned competitor or has just started mastering their cartwheel, this is the perfect opportunity for them to strut their stuff and show off all their hard-earned skills. So, grab your leotards, stretch out those muscles, and get ready for a gymnastics & cheer Sunday like no other! Who Can Participate? All of our members and non members— Whether you attend one of our school clubs, our weekend cheer classes or our AcroGym evening classes. Even if you’re new to the club and still figuring out which way to tumble, we’d absolutely love for you to participate. In fact, this could be the perfect event to get some competition experience under your belt. And don’t worry—our trusty coaches will be on hand all day to keep things running smoothly and to help your little gymnasts every step (or flip) of the way. No one’s going it alone! How Will the Championships Work? The Championships will take place throughout the day at Strode’s College but you’ll only need to be there for your child’s specific session. Once we’ve received all the entries, we’ll be putting together a detailed timetable (aren’t we organised?). Your gymnast will arrive, warm up, compete, and have their medal presentation all in one go. One quick round, then it’s time to cheer on their fellow gymnasts or head home for some well-deserved relaxation. Each gymnast will have the chance to show off their floor routine. This will include everything they have learnt in their lessons as well as the opportunity to throw in some of their own creative moves. No need to panic—it’s all about having fun and giving it their best shot. We will provide videos for gymnasts to practise at home and will email a copy of their routines to ensure they are well prepared. Children will be competing against other children of a similar age. Why You Shouldn’t Miss This (and Neither Should Your Family!) It’s not just about the gymnasts, either—this is a real family affair. We encourage all gymnasts to bring along their family and friends to cheer them on! And because we know it’s not a proper event without snacks, there’ll be refreshments on hand, plus a raffle to add a little extra excitement to the day. Spectators fees are £6 for any persons age 3 and over. We will have a card machine on hand but also accept cash payments too. Oh, and did we mention the goodies? Every gymnast who competes will receive a gold medal, a Pinks t-shirt AND a sweet treat!!! And for those lucky enough to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their age group, there’s an extra-special prize waiting for you. (Who doesn’t love a bit of shiny metal around their neck?) Plus, this is our main fundraising event for the year, with all funds raised going straight back into the club. That means new equipment, extra staff training, and even more coaching courses to keep your kids flipping, tumbling, and soaring higher than ever. So by supporting this event, you’re also helping improve the club for everyone—talk about a win-win! How to Enter Feeling excited? Ready to get involved? Let’s talk logistics: • Entry Fee: £20.00 (Includes a medal, t-shirt and a sweet treat) • Deadline for Entries: Saturday 7th June. Miss this date, and you’ll be hit with an extra £3 administration fee (nobody likes those, right?). • If you’ve got more than one child competing, you’ll need to book each one separately—yes, that means extra paperwork, but we promise it’s worth it. The office will process your entry and we will send timings 3 weeks before comp! The Final Word: Let’s Make It a Weekend to Remember! The Pinks Summer AcroGym Championships is a fantastic opportunity for gymnasts to show off their skills, support the club, and—most importantly—have a blast.
